What We Treat

Recreation Athlete

Keep playing. Lose the pain. Love your sport again

You play because you love it—not because you have to. Whether you’re chasing shots on the pickleball court, perfecting your swing, or scaling your next route, movement is part of who you are. But pain, stiffness, or lingering soreness can make it harder to show up—or enjoy the game when you do.

At Limitless, we help active adults and casual athletes across Rochester, Victor, and Greece move better, hurt less, and keep doing what they love. You don’t need to quit your sport—you just need a smarter way to support it.

Symptoms

What we help you overcome

You don’t need to be a pro to experience athletic injuries. These are some of the most common pain points we treat in recreational athletes.

  • Shoulder pain from repeated swings or overhead motion
  • Elbow pain from gripping, swinging, or bracing
  • Lower back or hip pain from rotation or prolonged standing
  • Knee or ankle pain from pivots, lunges, or uneven terrain
  • Wrist pain or stiffness from reactive movement
  • Muscle fatigue or tightness from lack of recovery
  • Recurring strains or minor injuries that keep coming back
Why It Happens

What’s really going on

Most recreational athletes play often—but recover rarely. Whether it’s poor mobility, asymmetries from everyday life, or simply not warming up enough, your body starts to carry extra strain. Over time, those small breakdowns add up.

The good news? You’re not fragile. Your body just needs some guidance to move and adapt more efficiently.

How We Help

How we treat it

At Limitless, we treat your favorite sport like it matters—because it does.

Our PTs use a movement-first approach that combines hands-on therapy, strength and mobility training, and sport-specific progressions to help you feel better and play stronger. Whether you’re managing wear and tear or bouncing back from injury, we’ll create a plan that fits your sport, schedule, and goals.

And if you’ve got a coach, trainer, or climbing buddy in the mix—we’re happy to collaborate.
