FAQ

If you have never been to physical therapy and are not sure what to expect, here is a list of frequently asked questions for our new patients thinking about scheduling an appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

At Limitless Physical Therapy Specialists, we know starting care can bring up a lot of questions. Below, you’ll find quick answers to the most common ones — from what to expect on day one to how we support you after graduation.

My First Visit

Your first visit includes a one-on-one evaluation in a private treatment room with your physical therapist. We’ll listen to your story, identify what’s limiting you, and build a personalized plan of care for recovery. You’ll likely begin treatment that same day — and leave with clarity and confidence about your next steps.

Wear comfortable, move-friendly clothing like activewear or workout clothes. Sneakers or supportive shoes are best.

The first evaluation is 60 minutes. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete paperwork and get settled. Typically, follow-up appointments are anywhere between 40 and 60 minutes.

For your first visit, our friendly Care Coordinators will greet you at the front desk to collect any copays, and to help familiarize you with the office. For follow-up appointments, you can also utilize our kiosk and check in with our remote Welcomers to let us know you’ve arrived. Don’t be fooled – they are real people on our team!

Your physical therapist will prescribe a frequency based on your goals and needs at your evaluation. Patients’ needs vary, but most new patients achieve the best results and experience faster recovery when they are seen twice per week during their first six weeks of care.

We believe your growth shouldn’t stop when you leave the clinic, that’s why we’ve invested in ways to help you stay connected!

  • Limitless Life App: Stay connected and access ongoing education through our online and in-person workshops and events.
  • Limitless Remote Care: Your PT and our remote care team support communication between visits, track your progress, and ensure you can reach your physical therapist through the app.

General

We understand that things come up! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance (or as soon as possible). You can call the office, text your Care Coordinators, message the PT team on the chat feature in your Remote Care app, or email your PT! This allows us to offer your time slot to another patient who may be waiting for care. Any appointment that results in a no-show will incur a $50 fee. We truly appreciate your help keeping our schedule running smoothly so everyone in our community can get the care they need.

Existing patients will receive an online booking link where they can schedule appointments from home, and see their provider’s schedules in real time

New patients should contact their nearest Limitless location to setup their initial evaluation.

Graduation isn’t the end of your journey — it’s the start of your next chapter. Through our Limitless Life App, you’ll stay connected with our team and community through wellness workshops, goal-setting tools, and the self-paced Limitless Life course focused on exercise, nutrition, sleep, and stress management. You’ll continue to grow, stay motivated, and live life without limits.

Your care will be led by one of our Doctors of Physical Therapy (DPTs) — licensed experts/specialists in movement, pain, and performance. Each DPT designs your individualized plan, works with you one-on-one, and adjusts your program as you progress. You’ll also meet our supportive Care Coordinators who help make every visit seamless and welcoming. Meet our team HERE

Our PT’s are guided through our Limitless University 18 month mentorship program ensuring you receive the same level of care from each one of our PT’s no matter which location you are treated at.

Our clinics are open Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM.

*Each PT operates within the office hours but has variability for early morning or evening appointments as needed.

Absolutely! You can request a specific therapist when you schedule. If you’re not sure who to see, our front desk team will match you with a provider based on your goals, condition, and availability. Meet our team and learn more about each of our PT’s.

Every plan is unique. At your first visit, your therapist will complete a thorough evaluation and create a plan that fits your goals and lifestyle. We find the best results when our patients visit two times per week for six weeks.

Pelvic Health

Yes! We know that finding childcare can be tough. Your baby is always welcome — we’ll make sure your session is comfortable and flexible for you both.

Yes. Our pelvic health team has private treatment rooms for evaluations and sessions, so you can feel completely comfortable discussing and working on personal concerns.

Your comfort and privacy are a top priority. Our therapists use professional “code words” and general terms to discuss sensitive topics discreetly. You can always request to move to a private space for further conversation.

Every session is individualized to your needs. It might include education about your pelvic floor, breathing or mobility work, hands-on therapy, and exercises to help you feel strong and confident. Our goal is to help you move freely and return to the activities that matter most — in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

Remote Care

Your PT and our remote care team support communication between visits, ensuring you can reach your physical therapist through the app.

Your PT & remote care team will be:

  • Tracking and supporting you with your exercise completion and symptoms
  • Reviewing and modifying your exercises and programming
  • Messaging or checking in when you need support
  • Making personalized adjustments to your program

Remote care is part of every plan because it helps you stay engaged, overcome challenges, and build lifelong healthy habits. Our mission is to grow a thriving community that inspires the best health outcomes and the research suggests that:

  • Remote care improves adherence to home exercise programs by up to 70%.
  • Patients receiving therapist feedback through remote tools report higher satisfaction and lower re-injury rates.
  • Consistent tracking of symptoms and activity leads to earlier detection of setbacks — which means faster course correction and fewer chronic issues.
  • Connect: Your PT activates your remote care account and walks you through setup.
  • Engage: Log your exercises and symptoms, celebrate wins and have your questions answered right from your phone.

Thrive: Your PT reviews your progress weekly, gives feedback, and updates your plan to keep you moving forward.
